The Community Development Department will strive
to promote and accommodate growth while preserving the area’s unique
natural resources and community values. We are committed to improving
the quality of life in Rawlins, Carbon County, Wyoming.
The Community Development Department is responsible for:
- Nuisance abatement
- Providing building permits
- The enforcement of municipal codes
- All other functions relating to community development
The department works with the
Planning Commission,
Construction Board, and the
Board of Adjustments. The Community Development Department's primary function is to administer Title 18 (subdivisions), Title 19 (zoning), and Title 20 (annexations) of the Rawlins Municipal Code. Community development has expanded into the building office with nuisance abatement operating out of City Hall.
